L . A . F – Season 1, Episode 2 [Final]
Continues from L.A.F Season 1, Episode 1….
I went and told my wife about this, and was reluctant to tell this to my dad (you know!). My wife was excited and couldn’t curse me (just 1 week after wedding :-) ). My in laws knew about this too and both asked me to check everywhere. I did, but its not there.
I was very upset for the next few days, my iPhone was my pet and I loved it so much.
Time to head for honeymoon (Munaar) and we started to pack our things. I was in no mood and with half-hearted I started to pack my stuffs. Both my wife and I were looking at each other and she tried to convince me as much she could.
I reluctantly opened my camera bag to check if I got all my camera accessories and guess what…….I found my iPhone (it was in a pouch inside my camera bag)…..I was overwhelmed and immediately took it and showed it to my wife first. My in-laws were there and father-in-law said, ‘I knew it must have been here’ and my mother-in-law, ‘Oh, my prayers didn’t go in vain….thank god’.
I am not sure whom to thank for here…..I just thanked god
Was I too careful to be careless…. : )…..well this is just beginning.

L . A . F – Season 1, Episode 1
Feb 5th 2009, 3 days after my wedding, my in-laws, wife and myself were geared up to catch Tutocorin Express from Bangalore to go to Tirunelveli for the second reception at my native. We reached the station an hour early, even though we knew the train will start be on time. My wife was cursing her parents to be so early and no place sit on the new platform. We had to stand for an hour and a half before the train came and we sat in.
It was already 10 PM, so I jumped into my favourite berth (SUB – Side Upper Berth), with my iPhone to hear some nice music and ‘Deception Point’ to read. I usually won’t get sleep while travelling so was just resting myself in comfortable upper berth, listening to songs, nice and cool.
It was morning, the train was on time to Madurai and 4 more hours to Maniachchi junction where a taxi will be waiting for us to go to my native house. We had a really hard idlis and little tough vada bought at Madurai station. I soaked it in sambhar for a while so that its soft enough to eat.
Finally we reached Maniachchi and took taxi to my house where my parents and my brother were eagerly awaiting for our arrival first time after marriage.
Home Sweet Home, had nice bath, delicious mother’s food, TV, chatting and slept. Next day morning, dad was busy preparing for the reception night. My wife and I went out to do some last minute shopping for the reception.
Dad had put up some lights in the beautiful garden in the front with two big chairs, bright and red (usual wedding chairs), in the front of our house outside surrounded by trees, plants and flowers. Cool air was coming on our right side from a cooler (Yes it was humid at night during February at my native). Reception went very well and we all were tired and I jumped into bed early.
Next day morning, I decided to go out for a walk and opened by camera bag to get my iPhone to hear music on the go and it wasn’t there. I searched other bags, all over the place…..couldn’t find it.
My mind automatically started to rewind itself. Two nights back I was in the train hearing music and reading ‘Deception Point’. I placed the iPhone and the book in the side net pocket on the berth and slept.
The pocket was not so big, but my iPhone went under the book. Its then I realised that, I must have left the phone in the pocket itself. Oh my god! how the hell I forgot to take my iPhone but took the book.
Yes, I lost my iPhone in the train……you know its impossible to get it back.
To be continued…..

L A F about it
L A F (pronounced laugh)…..but here I intend to refer it to Lost And Found. I am going to write a series about few things which were lost and then found in my life. You may wonder what to laugh about it…..when you read it, you will know why and how careless I was (and I am).

Go India Go!
This is not for the Indian cricket team for the next test match. The Indian media seems to be keep our cricket team on the top at all times. We never care about other sporting events including our national game hockey. Now the Winter Olympics 2010 just opened up in Vancouver, I never realised that we participate and qualified for this event until I saw the opening ceremony few hours back live. We have three participants in three sporting events at the Winter Olympics 2010. Out media seems to be very busy talking out Senas and Telenganas, Dhonis and Khans.
No one talks about Shiva Keshavan who is participating in the Winter Olympics for the fourth time. Two more from India also participating in the Olympics.
All the very best for the three Indians in the Winter Olympics 2010, it doesn’t matter if we won any medal or not, but its an honour to be represented as India among 81 other nations.

Oh Baby, please hold until next day
Everyone will pray god for a baby to be born safe and sound soon. Have you heard someone praying god for the baby to be born safe and sound few hours late?
This happened years ago, where a mother-to-be is on the verge of giving birth to her first baby. One part of the family were praying god for the baby to be born couple of hours late as that day was Lord Ganesha’s birth day and its not very good to be born on the same day. Another part of the family is praying for the same so that birth date is not 13. I don’t know what the baby thought, it was born safe and sound the next day at 1:02 AM. Yes, it missed Ganesha’s birthday and the unlucky number 13.
When the baby was born, everybody were in joy and forgot what they prayed for, all were happy to see the new born coming to life safe and sound.
The baby did not know about this until after 10 years when my mother told this story to me. Yes, that baby was me born on 14th Sep 1979. I felt proud that day. When I think about this now….well I don’t know what to say…..Be happy and make others happy…..and live your life with full satisfaction

My Quotes
These are not the quotes from great people, but my own. You don’t have to be great to come up with own quotes. Sometimes experience and too much thinking alone is enough to come up with your own. Here are few of my quotes.
Sometimes I think why should I work, but I don’t have any choice and it’s not programmed to include any choice.
People say Google is your second brain. I say, it’s your brain which makes the Google to work your way
Every time I get something to do, I don't think, "Is it possible", instead I think "Let's try it" and I always succeed.
I think, what I think, to make you think, that both think right.
To do work on your own is good, but to make others to do your work is the best.
